GOLD (Graduates of Last Decade)

Graduates of Last Decade (GOLD) is the group of IEEE members that have completed their first academic degree within the last 10 years.

The GOLD program has been established to provide the framework and tools for the sections’ use in retaining recent graduates.

The Region 8 GOLD committee’s job is to create awareness of and to promote GOLD programs in the Region for the identification and development of IEEE volunteer leaders and members. The committee acts as an active promoter, resource, and liaison for sections and branches to generate and support GOLD activities.

STEP Program

IEEE Student Transition & Elevation Partnership (STEP) was developed to provide a standardized yet localized program for facilitating the transition from student member to young professional, by introducing the opportunities and benefits of IEEE membership during the onset of a career.

IEEE 125th Anniversary: GOLD Around The World

In 2009, IEEE will celebrate 125 Years of Engineering the Future with a year-long celebration around the globe. IEEE Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) have started their own virtual 125th Anniversary event by inviting members to create short video clips that will be connected to form a fun anniversary video with worldwide participation.

It is VERY important that you report your activities:

• Officer Confirmation Report
• Financial report (L50) - In case your money is not managed by your section.
