The next R8 Director 

The IEEE Region 8 Nominations and Appointments Subcommittee is seeking proposals for candidates for the future IEEE Region 8 Director. Please send your proposals to the N&A by mid June 2009. N&A will be meeting in July and the selected candidates will be announced to the R8 Committee in October. These candidates will go forth to the 2010 IEEE Annual Election and the elected candidate will serve as the IEEE Region 8 Director-Elect in 2011 and 2012 and IEEE Region 8 Director in 2013 and 2014. Previous elections

The 2008 IEEE Annual Election balloting period ended on Wednesday, 1 October 2008, at 17:00 GMT.   

The results were announced on 12 October 2008 after the IEEE Tellers Committee has certified the results.  The results became official upon acceptance of the IEEE Tellers Committee report by the IEEE Board of Directors on 16 November 2008.
