IEEE Region-8 Chapter-Of-The-Year-Award
Contest 2009
The purpose of this award is to recognize the outstanding performance of Region-8 Chapters in serving their members and the technical community and establishing goodwill for the Region-8 Sections.
The selection criterion is the outstanding performance of the nominee reflected by the completed Nomination Form and its attachments. The Award is presented in two categories, one for small and one for large Chapters at the Spring Meeting 2010 of the IEEE Region-8 Committee. The award prize is a certificate and a cash awards of US$ 500, and reasonable expenses to attend the Region-8 Committee Meeting.
In selecting award recipients, the Chapter Coordination Subcommittee considers contributions of the nominee to Chapter activities, which may be manifested in the following manners
* continuous technical, educational, administrative, membership development activity
* communications and public relations activity
* implementation of innovative new Chapter programs
* dedication to the growth of the Chapter´s membership
* dedication to the advancement of its Section and/or its Society/ies
* fulfilling all requirements of reporting to Sections and the IEEE MGA Department.
To be considered as a nominee, the Nomination Form must be completed describing activities and associated contributions made by the nominee in the activity period Jan 1st-Dec 31st, 2009. The nomination need to be endorsed by the Section Chair.
