IX Latin American Robotics Symposium and IEEE Colombian Conference on Automatic Control (LARC & CCAC 2011)

The Latin American Robotics Competition (LARC), The Latin American Robotics Symposium (LARS), The Colombian Conference on Automatic Control (CCAC) and The Industry Applications Colombian Workshop (IASCW) was held in Bogota – Colombia. The objective of the Conference was to gather academic and industrial researchers and practitioners, to discuss the state of the art, research and developments in advance control-robotics and its applications for sharing and encouraging technology development in Colombia and the Latin American region. The tutorial was focused on robust control of polytopic systems through convex optimization. The purpose of this conference was to review the fundamental theory, main new results and practical applications of this control system design approach as well as to discuss the current open problems and future directions.
