Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems
Special Issue on "Advances in Robotics in Latin America"

This special issue focuses on recent developments being carried out in the field of robotics and autonomous systems in Latin America. The main goal is to have contributions from top scientists and research groups in the different countries in the region, working in this field. The special issue topics are related to all the aspects of robotics, such as:
- robot architectures,
- robot algorithms and methodologies,
- humanoid robotics,
- autonomous/unmanned vehicles,
- service and entertainment robotics,
- field and rescue robotics,
- micro/nano robotics,
- industrial robotic systems,
- biologically inspired robotics and swarms.

Submissions describing real applications of intelligent and robotic systems (mechatronics, manufacturing systems, biomedical systems, natural resources industry, underwater, humanoid, mobile/legged robot and space applications, etc.) with real impact in the region are most welcome. In addition, submissions addressing practical applications using international benchmarks and/or in-field experimental testing are strongly encouraged.
