Announcement of IEEE Executive Committee Members Visit to Xian

On 18, 19 and 20 April, Dr. Ralph Wyndrum, a member if the IEEE Executive Committee, will visit Xian.  Accompanying Dr. Wyndrum are two IEEE staff members:  Ms. Cecilia Jankowski, Managing Director of IEEE Regional Activities, and Mr. Chris Brantley, Managing Director of IEEE-USA.

The IEEE visitors to Xi’an will tour university and industrial organizations and meet with IEEE Sub-Section members.  There will be a reception on the evening of 19 April for the IEEE Sub-Section members and the IEEE visitors.

During the same period, other members of the IEEE Executive Committee will be visiting the cities of Beijing, Chengdu, Nanjing, Guangzhou, and Shanghai.

The IEEE will be opening an office in Beijing in 2006 to better serve members in China. The purpose of the Executive Committee member visits is to help IEEE understand the needs of IEEE members in China. 

On 21, 22 April, the entire IEEE Executive Committee will meet in Shanghai for one of six Executive Committee meetings held annually in countries around the world.
