Apart from specializations in VLSI & VHDL, he has software proficiency in Tanner Tools, Altera (MAX PLUS II), Quartus II Model SIM, Microwind, MATLAB, AIM spice and he is a member of IEEE, USA. He has put in immense effort in establishing the G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering, IEEE Branch.

Mr. Deshmukh has published a paper on "VLSI Implementation of IIR Digital Filter" at National Symposium, LOOPS2K3, Fr. C.Rodrigues College of Engineering, Mumbai. He is a member of Board of Studies, Department of Electronics as well as Mechatronics, G. H. Raisoni International University and is currently working as PG coordinator of M.Tech. Electronics, G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering. He has presented a technical paper on "Binary Neural Networks:-A CMOS Design Approach" at KES 2005, 9th International Conference at Melbourne, Australia, 14-16 Sep. 2005.
