Cal State San Bernardino IEEE chapter

IEEE STUDENT CHAPTER, CSUSB

The CSUSB Student Chapter of the IEEE organization was formed in 2008 by students at the college's Computer Science and Engineering Department in the spirit of providing students resources and contacts needed for the enhancement of their professional development. With engaging events, scholarship opportunities, friendly competitions, the Distinguished Lecturers Database, tours of cutting-edge facilities, and a venue to meet and speak with some of the industry's most important working professionals, IEEE membership dovetails nicely with the University's Computer Science and Computer Engineering programs and presents yet another chance for CSUSB students to stay a step ahead on the path to their chosen fields. The local chapter is open to all IEEE members who attend or instruct at California State University at San Bernardino, regardless of major.

The IEEE CSUSB Student Chapter hopes to create an environment where all students can learn to effectively develop and use technology both for improving their own career prospects and for the benefit of humanity. Key components of this intent include student-run public events, collaborative student projects and an instructional website, in addition to the events and resources offered through IEEE membership.

IEEE student membership fees are $30 per year; there are no additional fees for joining the local chapter. See the links at right for more information.

The CSUSB Student Chapter of the IEEE does not officially represent California State University and as such no statements, views or opinions expressed while conducting student chapter affairs should be taken as those of the college or university nor should the college or university be held responsible for actions committed by students while conducting such business.
