BRIEF INTRODUCTION

About IEEE
IEEE (Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers) is a non-profit, technical professional association of more than 360,000 individual members in approximately 175 countries. IEEE Headquaters is situated at New York.

IEEE HIT Student Branch is recently established IEEE student branch in Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia. The Branch came into existance on 26th of february 2008. The branch comes under the kharagpur section of IEEE. During a small span of one year the branch has organised several events including workshops, seminars, quizzes, industrial tours. We are planning several more activities in this coming year. The branch aims at overall development of the student members alongwith serving the technical community in every possible way.
