The Advancing Technology For Humanity Award is aimed at upholding that very spirit. Original contributions outlining technologies and innovations designed to meet critical needs and improving global conditions can be nominated to this category. Submissions ranging from computing, sustainable energy systems and smart grids, to aerospace, communications, robotics, healthcare and more can be nominated. Technologies and innovations that can have a wide-ranging social impact across geographies can be nominated for the award.

Engineering in Medicine and Biology Award

The Engineering in Medicine and Biology Award is presented to original contributions advancing medicine and biology through the application of engineering sciences and technology. Submissions focused on the development and application of engineering concepts and methods to provide new solutions to biological, medical and healthcare problems can be nominated for this award.

    Industry Ready Technology Award

The Industry Ready Technology Award is aimed at bringing together Academia and Industry to commercialize near market-ready technologies. Original submissions outlining high-potential technologies across disciplines with a commercialization timeline of 12-18 months can be nominated for the award. Articles on technologies involving new products, processes, applications, materials or services can be nominated. Submissions with scientific and technological developments that can be exploited readily or made accessible to a wide range of users for further development can also be submitted for consideration. The selection criteria for the Industry Ready Technology Award will be on the basis of technical merit of the submission and the potential for economic impact.

    Internet-of-Things (IoT) Award

The Internet-of-Things (IoT) Award is aimed at recognising innovation and excellence towards realization of the IoT framework. Submissions focused on designing novel techniques and systems enabling the Internet-of-Things (IoT) framework in the areas Communication, Computing and Computer Networks, MEMS, VLSI and others can be nominated to this award.

    Women in Engineering Award
