Cansat Workshop (Two days) on 18th August, 2016

REPORT DAY ONE (18/08/2016):

The event starts with Thamizhthaivazhthu. After reading the Chief guest profile L.Kanimozhi EEE,IV year student started First session about SDNx and Space Research technology. Second session after the tea break Mr.RaghavSharma interacted with students about the space technology.He asked Each and every student to introduce themselves. He took a session about satellite theory and interacted with students about satellite theory and layers of earth crest.He gave a task to think how build a small satellite and He made some of the innovative ideas from the students to read in front of the audience.A small Quiz about space technology and gifted students with Space strikers.He gave some brain storming questions to the students. Third session started with the presentation of Rocket science.He gave EAGLE software to the students and also explained the working procedure of the EAGLE software. At the end of the session He cleared the doubts of the students.

REPORT DAY TWO (19/08/2016):

The event started with Practical session on designing the CANSAT.Thetotal participants of 73 members are grouped into 14 teams with 5 to 6 members per team.Mr.Raghav Sharma and Mr.Hari Shankar distributed CANSAT kits to each team. He instructed the students about the procedure of designing CANSAT circuit in the PCB board. The students started soldering the Circuits. Per team 3 members started to make Parachute with the help of Parachute cloth and they connected it with the CAN.He taught about the ARDUINO software and they installed in the circuit.Then the circuit is inserted into the CAN which is connected with parachute. Every team launched their CANSAT from Third floor Centre for Research and Excellence. He allotted marks for each team for their performance in soldering making parachute and launching.Finally from the total team 3 teams were selected for cash prize. In the valedictory function started with welcoming Dr.N.Marie Wilson Director of Jeppiaar Institute of Technology,Mr.Raghav Sharma Director of Smart Circuits and Innovation Pvt Ltd and Mr.Hari Shankar State Head of SDNx(space development nexus-TN/PY).Our Director Sir addressed the gathering and felicitated the chief guest with shawl and momento.Along with Chief guest our Director Sir Released the magazine(SPACE MAGAZINE 2015) . Best 3 teams were selected for cash award.First prize for SATHYABHAMA UNIVERSITY Rs.1000,Second Prize PANIMALAR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Rs.500 and Third prize JEPPIAAR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY Rs.500.Certificates was distributed to the students by Chief guest and our Director.Thus the event ended with National anthem.
