The 4th National level technical symposium dated on March 14th 2016

Elixir 2k16 is conducted by Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Jeppiaar Institute of Technology under the banner of IEEE. The event held on 15th March 2016 and the students from various colleges has participated in this event. The list of events in the symposium are Paper Presentation, Circuit Debugging, Technical Quiz, Investigation and Greymatter Gaming. The brief description about each event are as follows: Paper presentation: The students from various colleges presented their paper. Totally we received 31 Papers and Based on the topic and Abstract, we selected 15 paper for presentation. The Papers were reviewed by Dr. Rajesh Kumar, HOD – EEE Department and Mr. Max Savio. The best paper 3 papers are selected and rewarded with a cash prize. Technical Quiz: The technical quiz has two rounds. The first round is MCQ and the 2nd round is “Find the personality�. The top two team is selected and rewarded with cash prize. Circuit Debugging: The various electrical circuits with some errors are provided to the student team. The team which come up with maximum correct answer in given time is selected as a winner and rewarded. Investigation: Our students will play a electrical accident video. The participants have to watch the video to find how the electrical accident is happening? The team with best explanation and answer is selected as a winner. Greymatter Gaming: In this event, we have conducted few gaming events like connections, Ad-zap, etc., to make the students to interact with the others and to break the ice within them.

At the beginning of each sessions, our students explained the benefits of IEEE and how it keeps the students to learn more new thing about engineering. Finally the event is closed by the prize distribution by our director Dr. N. Marie Wilson, B.Tech., M.B.A., Ph.D. and the vote of thanks has been given by our principal Dr. V. Kannan B.E, M.S, Ph.D, LMISTE
