The 4th National level technical symposium dated on March 14th 2016

Striderz2k16 is conducted by Department of Electronics and communication Engineering at Jeppiaar Institute of Technology under the banner of IEEE. The event held on 15th March 2016 and the students from various colleges has participated in this event. The list of events in the symposium are Paper Presentation, Rubix cube, Extempore, Kleptomania, Digi Swarm, Electronic tussle and Electro Puzz. The brief description about each event are as follows: Paper presentation: The students from various colleges presented their paper. Totally we received 70 Papers and Based on the topic and Abstract, we selected 34 paper for presentation. The Papers were reviewed by Dr.S. Arul and Mrs.L.M.Merlin Livingston HOD – ECE Department . The best paper 2 papers are selected and rewarded with a cash prize. Rubix cube The technical quiz has three rounds. The 1st round is “online test� based on verbal reasoning and technical question and the 2nd round is “Bob The Builder� technical based pictures have to link it and 3rd round is �Counter Strikes� from A-Z letter select any 5 letter write technical terms. The top two team is selected and rewarded with cash prize. Electro puzz: The technical and non-technical quiz has three round .The 1st round is “online test� based on jumbled words technical and non-technical and 2nd round is “Kit form� find output wave form for given circuit and 3rd round is “Finding program� .The top two team is selected and rewarded with cash prize. Extempore: The technical and non-technical quiz has three round .The 1st round is “online test� based on technical and non-technical question and 2nd round is “Dumb fakers� a single member from team select card and act on the word and 3rd round is “Buzzer Round� in this round (12-15) question on logos and electronics gadgets .The top two team is selected and rewarded with cash prize. Digi Swarm: The technical round .The 1st round is “circuit reproduction “ the circuit with the components are displayed and 2nd round is “Path Finder� certain clues regarding the question and they find out and 3rd round is “Pek Pot� it is path finder round .The top two team is selected and rewarded with cash prize. Electronic Tussle: The technical and non-technical quiz has three round .The 1st round is “online test� based on popular logos of electronics good and gadgets and 2nd round is “Rapid fire� topics on various current affairs in different field and 3rd round is “Glow the LED� .The top two team is selected and rewarded with cash prize. Kleptomania: The non-technical quiz has three round .The 1st round is “online test� and 2nd round is “video clipping� 5 video will be played in each contain 6 question and 3rd round is “Case detection� an justification format on the basics of incomplete information .The top two team is selected and rewarded with cash prize.

At the beginning of each sessions, our students explained the benefits of IEEE and how it keeps the students to learn more new thing about engineering. Finally the event is closed by the prize distribution by our director Dr. N. Marie Wilson, B.Tech., M.B.A., Ph.D. and the vote of thanks has been given by our principal Dr. V. Kannan B.E, M.S, Ph.D, LMISTE.
