 Dr. Atam Dhawan, Executive Director, Undergraduate Research and Innovation; Executive  Director, Interdisciplinary Design Studio at New Jersey Institute of Technology, USA.

 Atam P. Dhawan has obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Indian Institute of   Technology,  Roorkee, and PhD from University of Manitoba. He has held faculty positions in Electrical  & Computer  Engineering, and Radiology departments at University of Houston, University of  Cincinnati, University  of Texas at Arlington, and University of Texas Medical Center (Dallas). He  served as the Chair,  Electrical and Computer Engineering at NJIT from 2000-09.


 Dr. Kumar Rajamani, Architect at Robert Bosch.

 Kumar Rajamani is currently an Architect at Robert Bosch. He has spent three years at GE Global  Research (GRC), with the Medical Image Analysis lab. He was  primarily involved in quantitative  imaging of cancer. Earlier to GRC, Kumar was Senior Scientist at  Philips Research and Head of IT- Department at Amrita University. His research focus includes Medical Image Analysis, Health care  technologies for emerging markets. He has four patents filings. Kumar completed his Ph.D. in  Biomedical Engineering from University of Bern, Switzerland.


 Dr. K. Ranjan, Professor, Tomography Lab, Dept of Physics IISc, Bangalore

 Rajan Kanhirodan is a Professor in the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He is a part of the  Tomography Laboratory under the Department of Physics. His research interests include Diffuse  Optical Tomography, Ultrasound Modulated Diffuse Optical Tomography, Medical Imaging, Digital  Signal  Processors and Applications, Embedded and Real-Time Embedded Systems, High Performance  Computing and Parallel Computing, Image Processing and Restoration. He has more than twenty  journal publications and has publications in a number of international conferences.



 Mr. Sudeendra Koushik, Innovation Professional, Think Tanks (BE,MBA,PG(IIM-K)

 Mr. Sudeendra Koushik is currently an Innovation Professional has 21 years of  international  experience in Product Innovation and Development.  He has worked in BPL, Philips, NXP  semiconductors and Trident Microsystems. He is currently the Chair of IEEE Consumer Electronics  Chapter Bangalore as well as the Chair of Professional Activities, Execom Member IEEE Bangalore  section. He did his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communciation from the University of  Mysore, MBA from ICFAI and post graduation on Strategy Management from IIM, Kozhikode.


 Dr. Bhaskar Mohan Murari, Program Manager(Biomedical Engg), Assiociate Professor, SBST, VIT University

 Dr. Bhaskar Mohan Murari is currently working as Associate Professor and Division Chair of Biomedical Engineering at VIT University. He did his MS in Biomedical Instrumentation from the BIT Mesra, Ranchi and Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering from IIT Delhi. He has more than 10 years of research and teaching experience. He has several awards and collaborative projects with national and international institutions of fame. He has played a pivotal role in bringing Biomedical Engineering awareness among students, researcher and faculty members through his lectures and talks all across the nation. His research interests include sol-gel biomaterials for sensor applications, photonics, MEMS, design and development of affordable medical devices. He has more than 4 patents and 35 publications in several journals and conference proceedings. He is a member of the ISGS, IEEE EMBS, and the faculty advisor of IEEE EMBS student chapter, VIT University.


 Dr. Soma Biswas, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical engineering, at Indian  Institute of Sciences, Banglore, India.

 Soma Biswas is working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian  Institute of Science. She is a young achiever who has over 25 publications on her name. She has  worked as a Research Scientist in GE John F. Welch Technology Centre prior to joining Indian Institute  of Science. She did her M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Kanpur and her Ph.D from  University  of Maryland, College Park, USA.



 Dr. V. Pramitha, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras.

 Pramitha is associated with the Centre for NEMS and Nano Photonics, IIT Madras. She obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, both with gold medal from Kannur University, and obtained Ph. D degree in Physics from Cochin University of Science and Technology. She was awarded the Best Ph. D Thesis Award by Indian Laser Association, Doctoral level Innovative Student Project Award by Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) and INSPIRE Faculty Award by DST. Her research interests include nano-photonics, diffractive optics, holography and optical tweezers. She has more than 25 publications in journals and conference proceedings. She is a member of the Optical Society of America, SPIE and Material Research Society of India.



 Hrushikesh Garud, Senior Software Engineer, Texas Instruments India, Bangalore.

Hrushikesh works in development and testing of video compression, computer vision and image processing algorithms. His research interests include image and multidimensional signal processing, medical imaging, pattern analysis and machine intelligence, and consumer electronics. He has conducted tutorial courses on digital image processing in different conferences and workshops.
