MEDICAL HACKATHON

 

Got an idea that can save the world? The Hackathon calls students and faculties to pitch a problem from your society and find a feasible solution within a stipulated time period. The solution can be modelled in software or hardware. The goal of the event is to understand the problem and help the scientific/ medical community.

Venue and Date

Problem statement will be pitched during the first day of the conference (i.e. 7th March) and the results would be announced on 8th March.

Registration details

You may register for hackathon on the following link . You must enter the required information accurately, and read the guidelines displayed as part of the registration process.
The registration fee for the event is Rs 100 per person.
EXTERNAL PARTICIPANTS:
All registrations must be received by TECHSYM on or before 5th March 2014, registration fee can be paid during the first day of conference.
INTERNAL PARTICIPANTS:
All internal participants are requested to get themselves registered on or before 5th March 2014.There will be no on the spot registrations for internal participants.

Eligibility

You may only enter the Hackathon if you are an individual and, at the time of entry
  1. You are at least 18 years old.
  2. Have valid Id.
  3. Have properly & prior registered with us.
  4. Only 60 seats (on First come first serve basis).

Your Solution

 The Solution you provide in connection with the Hackathon must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. It must help society deal with the problem.
  2.  It must be provided to us within the span of 24 hours after the problem is pitched.
  3. It must not contain any content that violates any law or any third party’s rights (including privacy, personality and   intellectual property rights).
  4. It must have been written in your language only, although you may refer websites.

Voting and Judging Process

Hackathon judges will select the top 3 solutions from the best on March 8, 2014.  Decisions of the judges will be final and binding.

Winners

Participants who have been selected to receive the prizes will be notified in person on the last day of the conference.
Hackathon may request valid proof of identity for claiming for the prize.

Prizes

There are exciting prizes to be won by the top three winners.
These prizes will be awarded to the top finalists (as chosen by the Hackathon judges) as follows:

  1. Best solution
  2. Best solution – First Runner-Up
  3. Best solution – Second Runner-Up
