Becoming an IEEE member gives you a lot of advantages :
Every month, you will receive Spectrum (electronic or paper version), the
official magazine of IEEE , which keeps you in touch with the new technical
advances, in many fields. And, for only US$ 5.0(N700), you will get Potential
(bimonthly), another magazine which contains a lot of information about
your future job. And the on-line version of the Spectrum will also be accessible.
Moreover, becoming a member gives access to a huge quantity of information
(magazine, on-line sites,...) and freely most of the time. You could be interested
to know that 30% of the world scientific literature about electronics and
computer science is published by the IEEE . It might be useful, if you are
about to complete your Undergraduate Project, to be aware of the latest
developments in these areas.
You will become a member of an IEEE community. Consequently, you will

The Student Branch is going to create a large network of contacts first through
the NSE(Nigerian Society of Engineers) and then with certain prestigious
universities and IT firms to ease students' information exchange.

if you have access to a credit card payment facility .However, we can help you process your registration, just contact us, and we will fill you in on the steps to follow.
Considering the fact that we are a growing Student Branch, we are seeking volunteers
and sponsors. The help we need goes from financial support and sponsorships for our projects and seminars to technological resources contributions.
An active participation in a Student Branch of the IEEE is always a good point in a CV. What is better than working for your future in a dynamic, motivated and young team ?!!!
Objective of our Student Branch for 2006/2007
To put in place the student branch administratively.
To inform the students and the teachers that the student branch is active and willing to organize programs for student general knowledge advancement.
To recruit new and active members.
To organize a few lectures for students (at least 2).
To organize some technical visits (at least 1).
Registration Procedure
In order to become a student member of the IEEE , you must be duely registered, and also possess a membership number.This can be done, in two ways:
Register directly at the IEEE web site, by means of a credit card at www.ieee.org/join
Register through the executives of the student branch .Interested students should please download the registration form below, fill and submit printed copy, to any of the executives.The forms are also available for direct collection. Download Application form (pdf 77kb)
As payment progresses, registration forms will be processed in batches.An acknowledgement of payment document and a receipt will then be forwarded to you.
