A Report on the IEEE Nigerian Section Meeting held on Saturday March 14th 2006 At the Nigerian Society of Engineers Auditorium, No 3 Bernard Carr Street Waterworks Yard Port Harcourt. Put together by DIBIA VICTOR. The meeting started at about 9:45 am , and in attendance were

• Dr Dele Oluwade - PRO / Editor
• Mr Jonathan Ogbekhilu - -GOLD Chair.
We were later joined by Dr Omogui M. O (project manager, University if Ibadan IEEE Telecenter) and his colleague Mr. Olatubosun A. Also in attendance were various representatives from the following universities:
• Babcock University
• Nnamdi Azikiwe University
• Madonna University
• University of Nigeria Nsukka

.: Report on Awareness Seminar ,April 6 2006
The event started at about 3 p.m on 6Th April,2006 at the Chimela Ikonne lecure theatre Babcock University .The University Anthem was sung after the guest speaker Engineer Tunde Salihu MIEE FNSE who was represented by Engineer Funso Adebayo and the school officials entered into the venue of the program. .: 2005/2006 Academics Year Congress Report
Approximately 3 congresses and 3 executive meetings were held during the 2005/2006 2nd semester academics year. Major milestones that were deliberated upon include
• Continuous awareness of IEEE entity
• Methods and procedures for soliciting for for funds and sponsorship
• Listing our student interest and forming departments based on identified interest. Web Design , Networking , and Programming department were thus formed
• Listing out of prospective projects which include Implementation of SMS campus locator software IEEE BU internal SMS Server
• Organization and execution of an external awareness seminar
• Election by Appointment, of new executives, to lead the student branch for the next tenure
• Arrangements towards finalizing procedures involved in registration and subsequent inauguration of our own Student branch and finnally,
• Hosting of our website which is ready and functional.
