*  We, the members of the IEEE, recognizing the importance of our technologies in the quality of life worldwide, and accepting a personal obligation with our profession, its members and the communities to which we served, commit themselves to guide themselves of the most ethical and professional way and decided:

 * To accept the responsibility to make consistent decisions with the security, health and well-being of the people, and to quickly expose the factors that can damage to people or the surroundings;

 * To avoid, whenever it is possible, real or perceived conflicts of interest, and to expose them to the affected parts when those exist;

 * To be honest and realistic in the affirmations and estimations based on the data available; to reject bribes in all its forms;

 * To improve the understanding of the technology, its suitable application and its possible consequences;

 * To maintain and to improve our technical competition, and to only accept tasks for others if we are in favor qualified of training or experience, or after exposing the pertinent limitations completely;

 * To look for, to accept and to offer honest critics on the technical work, to accept and to correct errors and to recognize the contributions of others suitably;

 * independently to deal with equitably all the people its race, religion, sex, capacities, age or nation;

 * To avoid to damage to others, its properties, reputation or job by means of false or malicious action;

 * To help to/compañeros/as in its professional development and to support to them in the pursuit of this code of ethics.
