Vision:

“To be internationally recognized as generators and diffusers of technological knowledge.”

Mission:
“To complement the academic forming of university students.”

The organizational student branch chapter culture is based on:

Objectives: The main objective of the Computing Chapter of the REIEEE UNI is to be an academic entity and promoter of information and knowledge exchange. In addition, it strives to:

  • achieve the goal in which the majority of the faculty become members of the IEEE Computer Society.
  • be the Project Generator of Research.
  • gain the acknowledge of the faculty and the university.
  • obtain a premise.

Strategies:

  • Represent the university in academic national and international events.
  • Contact with enterprises to identify with their needs.
  • Contact with assessors who lead the research groups.
  • Show the opportunities and advantages of the IEEE Computer Society.
  • Relate with other universities.

Activities:

  • Publicity of accomplished work.
  • Promotional campaigns of the IEEE Computer Society and the activities of the chapter.
  • Formulate the learning of the English language.
  • Chapter Integration workshop, together with the student branch and the other chapters of the branch, March 2005.
  • Presentation of academic conferences (about Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Neuron Network, Fuzzy Logic, Information Security, Software Engineering, Advanced Data Structure), March 2005
  • Participation in web page competitions of IEEE, April 2005
  • Participation in Branch Integration of Lima workshop, April 2005
  • Participation in student paper of the region competition. May 2005
  • Participation in the research project competition in the INTERCON (recognized congress for IEEE) August 2005
  • Participation in the Computer Projects competition, September 2005

SERVICES OF THE COMPUTING SOCIETY
The Computing Society of IEEE continues to expand the programs and services for professionals and students.
This includes the expansion of the digital library, the certification of professionals, distance-learning, and other programs and services as explained. It is important to note that these programs and services are carried out for the benefits of the members of the Society.
