The Student Branch IEEE of the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería is recognized by the IEEE on April 14th, 1967 and recognized by the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería by electoral resolution Nº 0472 on April 29th, 1986.

The following statute is approved March 10th, 1998, and it is governed from then on.
