The SSETI Association was created in 2003 in order to support the participants from the SSETI programme by providing a common legal structure for the projects within the programme. The purpose of the Association is to work as an umbrella for international student space projects and to create, develop and support a network of students that will work together to design, build, launch and operate satellites or spacecraft.

The COMM team is a group of students, young professionals and experienced advisors who are interested in engineering and space related activities. Their multidisciplinary team has people who work/study at different spanish universities, high schools and research institutes. All team members are part of the IEEE UNED Student Branch, a group of students and professionals of different engineering degree programs.

The team collaborates with the UNED (Spanish University for Distance Education) in Madrid (Spain), The Karbo College in A Corunna (Spain) and the Institute for High Frequency Technology, at TU-Brausnchweig (Germany).
The team sees this project as an exceptional opportunity to develop their professional and academic skills in a real-world engineering project, which includes tons of learning, international collaboration, design and implementation. Their goal is clear: "Do our best while we are learning and achieve a successful space mission!"
