Mr Fang He obtained BEng in Communication Engineering in Jilin University (former Changchun Institute of Posts and Telecommunicaions), China, in 2002. He worked in an IT developing company after graduation. As a website designer in his first career, he focused on the E-business by using J2EE technology.

Fang came in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Manchester (former Department of Electrical engineering and Electronics of UMIST) in 2004 and he achieved MSc in Communication Engineering in 2005. Now Mr Fang is carring on the PhD in the Microwave Engineering in the university and the research area is broadband magnetic antennas.

Mr Fang became the IEEE student member from 2006. Fang was nominated as the member of the administrative committee of IEEE student branch in May 2006, and nominated as Website IT Administrator in March 2007. He is on duty of the Publicity sub-committee for the branch website development and branch mailing list administration.
