Registration of the First Student Congress
The latest news we have received this evening is that the University of York IEEE Student Branch has upgraded their registration webpage. Now everyone who is interested in this congress please book a place as soon as possible due to the limited places. You need to provide some basic information to complete the online registration form. We advice the students from the University of Manchester, when you fill in the form, the "Name of Your IEEE Student Branch" is "The University of Manchester IEEE Student Branch".
After your submitting the form, the organizer will inform you the cheque payment should be sent to:

And the Payee is "IEEE Student Branch No.09471". Please note the deadline of early registration is Thursday, 10 May. The early registration fee for the non York residences is £30. However, if you miss the deadline, the late registration fee for non York residences will become £40. (Details are in the following table)

The organizer would like to accept cheque as the recommendatory payment. If you prefer any other payment method, you need to contact the organizer by send an E-Mail or send an online message. The organizer will refund your travel expenses up to £20. A good news is that the travel expenses between Manchester Piccadilly and York Station is less than £20 with a valid Young Persons Railcard, which means you may travel to this event free of charge. The following table lists the rail tickets prices from Manchester Piccadilly to York with a Young Persons Card. For more information about the train ticket, please access National Rail Enquiry.

Announcement from the Organizer
"Dear IEEE members,
The York University IEEE Student Branch would like to invite you to the first UKRI Student Congress on June 1-3, at the University of York campus. The congress will be an opportunity for all IEEE UK students to meet, socialise, and attend talks from distinguished Senior IEEE members and various companies.
The congress schedule includes amongst others:
- Introductory Talk from IEEE Past Europe-Middle East and Africa Director
- Sun Technical Workshop
- Talks from IEEE Senior members
- Career management sessions
- Academic-oriented training sessions
- Company stands/presentations (Praxis HIS, Sun, Lockheed Martin,etc.)
- Congress Dinner
The Congress Registration Fee is £30 (£20 for York residents) for those that register before May 10th. After that date the fee is £40 (£30 for York residents).
- The registration fee includes:
- Access to all congress-related activities
- Shared accommodation for 2 nights (Please contact us if you would like alternative accommodation)
- Congress Dinner
- Welcome Reception
- Refreshments during the breaks
- Welcoming Pack including Congress Schedule, Company profiles and other IEEE merchandise.
We also intend to support your transportation fees up to £20 when claimed.

All payment details are provided after you have submitted the registration form.
