Ioanna Symeou, the events officer from York student branch, has given an introduction talk of the the up-coming UKRI student congress this afternoon. The organizer will hold a reception from early of 1 June to welcome all of the attendees, destribute the welcome packages and arrange the accommodations. The Wine Reception will start from 7:30pm in Friday, so all attendees are reccomanded to arrive at University of York before 7:30pm. There will be a congress dinner at Saturday night. The congress will last for two days and will finish around 5pm in Sunday.
During the congress, there will be invited talks given by former Europe, Asia and Africa IEEE Chair and distinguished senior IEEE members. Moreover, several professional workshops will be held by Sun Microsystems (worksop and NetBeans CD) and GTU (CVs and interviews management). Furthermore, there will also be some student branch talks in the congress to enhance the inter-communication between student branches in UKRI area.
The participants of this congress are Google, Lockheed Martin, Sun Microsystems, etc. All of these participants will give their presntations so it will be a great change to give your CVs to them for your future careers.
