Activities planned for 2012

1. We plan to have at least 10 chapter meetings.

   These meetings entail small expenses that are in part covered from the chapter budget. Besides of organizing the meetings, the funds are requested for covering the cost of postal and electronic mailing, membership promotion, and a moderate young scientist award scheme.

2. May, 2012, Contest on "The Best IRE Young Scientist - 2012".
3. August 28-30, 2012, 14th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic

   Theory – MMET-2012 (www.mmet.org).

4. October, 2012, field trip to the Experimental Center of Institute of Ionosphere of Ministry of

   Education and Sciences & National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which houses one of the world

   largest incoherent radar experimental facilities.

5. December, 2012, 12th Kharkiv Young Scientist Conference on “Electromagnetics, Photonics and Biophysics” YSC-2012 (www.ysc.org.ua).

SBC Officer Elections (December 2012)

The technical meetings and the planned conferences will provide a good opportunity for student members and local students to learn about microwaves and electromagnetics research both from active Ukrainian and visiting European scientists.
