Naeem is a third year PhD student in Multimedia and Vision (MMV) Group in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Queen Mary, University of London. He is currently working on EU funded project aceMedia (Autonomous Intelligent Media Services). His research is concentrated on image and video transmission. His research is mainly on exploiting the different protection scheme like turbo coding on the most advanced video coding techniques based on scalable video coding in error prone environment.
Naeem received the scholarship from the government of France and the Ministry of Pakistan for his DEA in telecommunication (MSc by research) from France. He is also involved in organising different events and meetings such as the international conference EWIMT 2005 and aceMedia project meeting 2006.
