TC-9 Report
SEMITHERM was successfully held in San Diego in early March. About 270 engineers were involved in the presentations or the technology show.
UPDATE ON THE 6th I-THERM CONFERENCE
This year's I-THERM will be held in Seattle, Washington on May 27-30. It will be co-located with 48th ECTC which will start May 25 and end May 28. I-THERM is scheduled once every two years. The last I-THERM was co-located with 46th ECTC held in Orlando.
Thermal papers from different categories will be presented at the 6th I-THERM. These categories will include:
o Thermal Control of Portable and Electronic Systems
o High Power Electronics
o Software Tools for Design and Analysis of Electronic Systems
o Modeling and Characterization of Interconnect Technologies
- C4, Chip Scale, BGA
o Modeling and Characterization of Interconnect Technologies

- Thermal Enhancements of PCB and Substrate
o Natural and Forced Convection Air-Cooling

o Air-cooled Heatsink and Thermal Interface Materials

Information on ICT98
This year's International Conference on Thermoelectrics (ICT98) will be held in Nagoya Trade & Industry Center, Japan on May 24-28. ICT98 will provide a forum for information exchange of recent developments in the field of thermoelectricity. Typical topics related to thermoelectric
energy conversion will be presented. These include:
