CPMT FELLOW COMMITTEE REPORT
The "Fellow of the Institute" standing is the highest possible in IEEE. The CPMT Society nominates between 4 and 10 of our most valuable members to this position every year. Our Fellow Committee consists of: Diana Bendz, Jack Balde, Leo Feinstein, Ronald Gedney, George Harman (Chair), Prof. Kanji Otsuka, Prof. C. P. Wong, Ralph Wyndrum.
A nomination is initiated when one of your colleagues requests a packet from the committee and begins the detailed process of enumerating your accomplishments. The committee then helps edit and complete these forms and encourages your designated Fellow supporters to complete their recommendation forms. Your Society then submits the packets to the IEEE Fellow Committee. Typically IEEE makes awards to 50% of those submitted.
This year’s new Fellows will be announced in November. It is not to early to start on packets for next year.
