Dr. Rao Tummala, the CPMT Technical Vice President, received the highest faulty award, The Distinguished Faculty Award, on May 21 at Georgia Tech’s Annual Awards Luncheon. In presenting the award, the President of GT, Dr. Wayne Clough said "Rao in 5 short years accomplished and made unparalleled contributions to Education, Research and Service. After his stellar accomplishments at IBM, he continued, to make Georgia Tech the very Premiere campus for Electronics Packaging research in the world. His book is used by more people in teaching packaging around the globe than any other. The center he set up, that is referred to as PRC, is the leading producer of students, technical papers, and educational programs. He is well on his way to make PRC a global center. He is a man of vision, action, and cooperation. He brings pride and prestige to himself and to Georgia Tech."
