Ephraim Suhir Awarded by ASME
In 1944, Pi Tau Sigma and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers
established the Charles Russ Richards Memorial Award to recognize
outstanding achievement in mechanical engineering by an engineer
twenty years or more following graduation.
Ephraim Suhir has
been selected as the 1999 Charles Russ Richards Memorial Award
recipient. Ephraim is Chair of CPMT TC-15 (New Technology Directions)
and Chairs several international meetings joint with CPMT and
ASME.
The award consists of a $1000 honorarium, certificate and travel
supplement for two days. Formal presentation of the award is scheduled
to take place at the Members and Students Luncheon, Wednesday,
November 17, during the ASME International Mechanical Engineering
Congress, November 14-19, 1999, at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville,
Tennessee.
