IEEE ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS SEMINAR ON VIDEOTAPE
The IEEE Entrepreneurial Skills Seminar, a series of six videotapes, is now available for loan. CPMT Chapters or Chapters in development should consider using this resource as the focus for a meeting (individual tapes) or a full-day seminar (full series of tapes.)
The Seminar has been prepared to convey the concepts, risks, and advantages of entrepreneurial endeavors, emphasizing the message of the "value-added" to engineers and scientists by improving and maintaining the "extra" or "softer" skills, such as communications, report writing, marketing, understanding business finance, etc.
Each of the following topics is covered in a single videotape:
"Necessary Talents for Engineers as We Enter the 21st Century"
"Small Business: The New Engine Driving the American Economy"
"The Experiences of a Software Entrepreneur: From Start-Up to Success"
"Starting a Technology Business"
"Being an Entrepreneur"
"An Entrepreneurial Learning Path"
"Re-Training and Re-Energizing the Mature Engineer"
Abstracts, complete English language transcripts and graphics are provided for each presentation, as well as a reference list of books and videos that teach the "softer-skills."
The Seminar videotapes are available in US and PAL formats. To arrange a loan, please contact:
