Annual CPMT Society Chapters Meeting at ECTC
The annual CPMT Society Chapters meeting will be held at the 50th ECTC in Las Vegas, Nevada USA at Caesar’s Palace on Sunday, 21 May 2000 from 12:00PM - 6:00 PM local time. A representative from each of our more than 30 CPMT chapters is invited to attend. Travel support is available.
Each chapter is requested to submit a 2000 chapter activities plan. The plan should include:
** Technical activities plan
** Educational activities plan
** Membership advancement plan
** Membership recruitment plan
Each chapter should also submit a written chapter report and be prepared to discuss a chapter best practice at the meeting.
The agenda will include discussions of chapter support and membership programs; chapter reports and best practices; society conferences, publications and technical committees; and a strategic planning session. We will work on defining the CPMT Society’s Global Strategy for the next decade or two. The mission of our society is to foster technological innovation, enable members’ careers and to promote community worldwide which is consistent with the IEEEE mission of networking the world. We will discuss the best ways to have our chapters define and implement our Society’s strategy. Additionally, we will also discuss how we can develop a systematic process for recognizing the individual contributions from your chapter members, whether the contributions are at the level of IEEE Fellows, Senior members and others. We will also discuss development and coordination of International conferences.
Submit your requests for travel support to Ms. Marsha Tickman along with your 2000 Chapter Activities plan. Ms. Tickman can be reached at:
