CHAPTER CHAIRS FEEL THE LAS VEGAS HEAT!
Chapter representatives attended the CPMT Chapters Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada USA on Sunday, 21 May 2000 while the outside temperature was 108 degrees Fahrenheit. Representatives from Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Hungary/Romania, Belarus, Central Ukraine, West Ukraine, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Boston, Atlanta, San Diego, Binghamton, Phoenix and Santa Clara Valley attended the meeting. Rao Tummala, President of the CPMT Society, welcomed the group and outlined the society’s globalization vision and strategic plans.
The chapter representatives heard about the new CPMT globalization vision to "Develop World Technical Community by Development and Support of Global Chapters" from Membership and Chapter Development Chair Ralph W. Russell, II. CPMT Vice Presidents Paul Wesling – Publications, Jim Morris – Conferences, Al Puttlitz – Education, and Phi Garrou – Technical Activities also attended the meeting in support of the globalization vision. Each chapter representative provided chapter reports and chapter best practices.
The efforts of Ms. Marsha Tickman-CPMT Society Executive Director in organizing this meeting are greatly appreciated.
