- Characterization of High-Speed Digital
Interconnects
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology has postdoctoral
positions available for qualified US citizens interested in the
characterization of high-speed digital interconnects. This project
has unique opportunities for the theoretical and experimental
study of high-speed digital interconnects and circuits. Current
research focuses on adapting microwave and waveform measurement
methods to the non-invasive characterization of conventional,
differential, and coupled differential transmission lines and
circuits fabricated on silicon substrates. The project has strong
ties to industry, access to microwave measurement equipment at
frequency ranges up to 110 GHz, sampling oscilloscopes with a
50 GHz bandwidth, and very high-speed optical sampling systems.
