CPMT MEMBERSHIP

There is a slow but steady increase in the membership of CPMT. The November Report shows that our membership has grown by 1.1% over the previous year. Our membership is now at 3818. Members live around the world, where ever electronics is part of the economy. Overall IEEE Society membership is up 0.6% since 1999.

However, it is not just the number of members but the increase in CPMT articles submitted, meetings held, papers given, and active chapters that help each of us advance our careers.

Ralph Russell, Chapter and Membership Chair, announced in November the formation of new CPMT Chapters in Malaysia and France. Prof. Kankanhally N. Seetharamu at the University of Science Malaysia was instrumental in forming the Malaysia Chapter, [meramu@kcp.usm.my]. Smail Tedjini at ECIS/ESISAR was the focus of the new Chapter in France, [smail.tedjini@esisar.inpg.fr].
