POLYTRONIC 2001
The 1st International IEEE Conference on Polymers and Adhesives in Microelectronics and Photonics

October from the 22nd to the 24th, 2001 in Potsdam, near Berlin (Germany).

This conference continues the successful series of IEEE workshops and conferences on adhesives and polymers. It is a new joint conference incorporating Polymeric Materials for Microelectronics and Photonics Application (POLY), Adhesives in Electronics and Polymeric Electronics Packaging (PEP), making it the biggest event on Polytronics world-wide.

POLYTRONIC 2001 features a powerful technical program, providing a forum for experts to present their latest findings and to exchange ideas on different aspects of adhesives and polymers in microelectronic and photonics. The conference is designed to stimulate discussion and act as a catalyst for creating new contacts and partnerships between researchers from Europe, the US and Asia.

The conference program includes 14 technical sessions covering a broad spectrum of polytronics, ranging from polymer electronic devices, photonic polymers, development and reliability of polymer materials and plastic packages, to conductive adhesives for semiconductor packages. Other sessions are devoted to enabling and encapsulation technologies, rigid and flex polymer substrates, advanced packages, and materials testing and characterization.

The social event will be taking place in a historic setting where the history of Potsdam is still very much alive. Participants will have the chance to meet old friends and make new ones in a relaxed and amiable atmosphere.
An optional workshop on European funding programs completes the conference.

The conference will be preceded by four short professional development courses. International experts will be presenting the state-of-the-art in polymers for electronic packaging, electrical conductive adhesives and plastic encapsulation technologies as well as reliability of plastic packages.

This conference is a must for all people specializing in areas of polymers and adhesives but also for those with a general interest in packaging technologies! Don't miss this great opportunity to visit the two historically and culturally inspiring cities of Potsdam and Berlin.

We look forward to welcoming you in October!!
