Joint Meeting
of "CPMT TC-16 Technical Committee" & "ECTC
Components & RF Committee" at ECTC in Orlando
TO: CPMT TC-16 RF & Wireless Technical Committee
Members
and ECTC Components & RF Committee Members
You are invited to a joint meeting of the "CPMT TC-16 RF & Wireless Technical Committee" & the "ECTC Components & RF Committee" at ECTC in Orlando on Thursday morning, June 2nd from 7-8am in the Cambridge Room (lobby level). (Arrive early for coffee, juice & pastries.) The objective of the meeting will be similar to last year's; that is, to organize & implement a plan to improve the quality & quantity of paper submissions in the RF & wireless area for ECTC 2006. Our efforts last year were effective in expanding the number of paper submissions & maintaining the number of "Component & RF" sessions at 3. The focus topic for 2005 was "Component-Like Modules with RF Functionality".
Other possible projects for TC-16 will also be discussed (e.g., NEMI roadmap participation?). To improve the quality & quantity of paper submissions in the RF & wireless area, we plan to target 1 or 2 subject areas for which committee members will strive to obtain paper submissions that will be grouped together within a session. In preparation for the meeting please send a short list of subject areas which you feel are of high importance & of high current interest. Some possible topics are appended at the end of this letter. Please rank the order your preferences. Also, consider volunteering to champion one of the selected topic areas to actively solicit contributions.
We also need a volunteer to update the mail list used for our call for papers. This consists of making a list of authors & their email address which presented papers at ECTC in 2004 & 2005 related to RF & components. In preparation for the meeting, please send an email to Craig Gaw (c.a.gaw@ieee.org) by Thursday, May 26th with the following information:
1) Indicate whether you will be able to attend the meeting.
2) Submit a short list of high impact topics in the RF & wireless area that are of high current interest.
3) Make a short list of your colleagues in high impact topic areas that we can solicit for paper submissions. Include their email address if available. Authors from industry are of particular interest. Thank you for your continuing participation in making ECTC a great conference.
Sincerely, Craig Gaw TC-16 Chair p: 480-413-5920 e: c.a.gaw@ieee.org pgr: 1888-996-8414 e-pgr: 9968414@skytel.com
