Welcome to EMBC 2012: The 34th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society

The 34th Annual International Conference of the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society will take place at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel in San Diego, California, USA. The general theme of EMBC'12 is "Engineering Innovation in Global Health", covering a broad spectrum of topics in biomedical engineering and healthcare technologies, including medical and clinical applications. The conference program will consist of invited plenary lectures, symposia, workshops, invited sessions and oral and poster sessions of unsolicited contributions. All papers will be peer reviewed, and accepted contributed and invited session papers will appear in the Conference Proceedings and be indexed by IEEE Xplore and Medline/PubMed.

 

2012 EMBS Student Paper Competition Finalists

 

The IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society sponsors a paper competition for EMBS Student Members (Graduates and Undergraduates) with support from the National Science Foundation.  Students should submit their entry to the Conference as a Contributed Paper by 15th March 2012. Each student's Faculty Advisor will be required to endorse their student's submission by submitting a Nomination Form between 27th March and 30th April, 2012. Failure to submit the accompanying Nomination Form within the submission window will invalidate the respective student paper submission for the student paper competition.

2012 IEEE EMBS Club and Chapter Awards

 

Nominations for these awards are accepted annually in February, Award Recipients are announced in May and the awards are presented at the Society's Annual International Conference in August. Nominations and Selection are made according to the EMBS Awards Nomination and Selection Procedures.
