Jobs

This page contains job information that may be of interest or assistance to students. The positions, institutions or companies listed are not necessarily endorsed by the IEEE EMBS. The Whitaker Foundation claims that biomedical engineering jobs have climbed by 26.1%, which is almost twice as much growth as the overall average. Where are all these jobs? We hope that you will find the below links to biomedical engineering companies and job posting sites to help you in your search and preparation for a job.

Feeling Lost?

Graduating from school is both scary and exciting. Not sure what path to take? Or, maybe you know where you want to go, but don't know how to get there. Read a series of articles published in EMB Magazine on Landing a Job in Industry, Climbing the Ladder in Academia and Alternative Careers for Engineers (coming soon).

Going GOLDen?

When you graduate from your first engineering degree, you become a member of Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) with your IEEE membership. What does GOLDen get you? You'll have access to resources about professional development and a network of recent grads just like yourself. Who knows, being GOLDen might get you a job! Read more here.

What Does the Market Look Like?

Biomedical engineering is a relatively small but rapidly growing field for employment. Employment sources range from hospitals to start ups, so the scope is broad. Here are some websites that will help you get a better idea of salaries, statistics and employment:
