Position Description - VP Standards

General Summary: The Vice President for Standards oversees and reports on the progress of the standards activities sponsored by the Society. .

Travel Commitment:

• EMCS Board meetings (3-4 per year)
• EMCS Standards Committee meetings
• IEEE meetings related to standards

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Guide EMC-related standards committees at all levels.
2. Facilitate communication between the standards committees and the Board of Directors.
3. Ensure that the budget is adequate to support the standards committees and their working goups.
4. Assist in the interaction between the standards committees and the IEEE Standards Association .
