The meetings are open to the public and a meal is provided at no charge.

We encourage you, others in your organization, or other interested parties to participate in our meetings every month. The PSES meets every month on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30, with the program starting at 7pm, except in November/December. A combined monthly meeting is held in early December to allow members and guests to enjoy the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Presentation: “Hazard Considerations For The Aircraft Environment” by Jack Burns and Sam Davis, plus a synopsis of the “2005 Product Safety Engineering Symposium”

September Meeting: Hot Flaming Oil Test by Nathan Arldt.

August Meeting: Product Safety 101 - A Primer.  A review of four aspects of basic product safety.  We covered Standards, Labels, Agency inspections, and Basic Hazards.

July Meeting: Product Safety on the Web.  A group sharing of favorite Product Safety related web sites.

June Meeting: Movie Night- Selected Safety Shorts We viewed a collection of Product Safety-related videos, relating to UL testing, investigations, and plastic burning characteristics.   One point of education for most was the distance a 500kV source will arc. Some of these videos are available upon request.

May meeting: RFID
An interesting look into the history, current uses, and future considerations for this technology.  Presentation slides available upon request.

April meeting: Power Cords 101
A very helpful presentation on the multitude of concerns with meeting international power cord regulations.  Presentation slides available upon request.
