EMC Engineer for Hardware Design Engineering
Qualifications/Requirements :
Preferred Education and Experience
A technology related Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience plus 7 years of related experience. A Master's degree plus 5 years or a doctorate degree is preferred.   
Primary Purpose & Key Job Functions :
Primary Purpose
The primary job purpose is to provide product ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) design, validation, and problem resolution at the system and sub-system level, PCB-level (electrical and layout), processor and chipset level(silicon and package).  
Key Job Functions
Position will require processor and chipset silicon and package EMC design; PCB electrical and layout EMC design; system/sub-system mechanical EMC design; developing and following detailed product EMC test plans; experience or familiarity with EMI simulation software; and superb oral and written communication skills. The candidate will be called to solve EMC product problems; to coordinate work of others as a project leader; to determine most appropriate method to solve problems; and to take a holistic approach to problem solving.  The position requires a working knowledge of EMC /EMI standards, theory, and design methods to meet requirements. Silicon design/manufacturing familiarity is preferred.
