ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

 

Present Position:  

 

Dennis Quadi has been a consulting engineer in Chicago for 8 years with Environmental Systems Design. Mr. Quadi received his Bachelor of Science in engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1998. Mr. Quadi was employed at Underwriters Laboratories for 2 years before joining ESD as a consultant engineer.

 

Morris Toporek has been a consulting electrical engineer in Chicago for 30 years and at Environmental Systems Design for 9 years. Mr. Toporek received his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering at the University of Illinois and is a P.E.

 

ABOUT THE TOPIC

 

The presentation will cover the design of critical power distribution in hospitals. Topics will include the differences between the NEC and the Chicago Electric Code, reliability, coordination, communication systems, power systems and trends in operating room and medical imaging.
