GUIDELINES FOR PREPARATION OF THE FINAL VERSION OF THE PAPER
MISCELANEOUS
The text processor used for the preparation of the paper must be set to the US letter format (8.5 x 11 inches).
The final version of the paper in the camera-ready format must not exceed 6 pages.
All text must be in English.
The pages must not be numbered.
No headers and footers are allowed.
Hyphenation is not recommended.
Wherever the font Times is specified, Times Roman may be used. If neither is available on the author's text processor, a font should be used that is closest to Times in appearance.
Since no color is allowed in the Conference Proceedings, all colors (e.g., in pictures and drawings) will be turned automatically into shades of grey. To have the full control over the grey-scale appearance, the authors are kindly requested to transform colored figures into grey-scale images before including them in the final version of the paper.
FORMATTING
All text must be in a two-column format.
The total allowable area of the text is to be 7.1 inches (18 cm) wide and 9 inches (22.9 cm) high.
The columns are to be 3.45 inches (8.75 cm) wide, with a 0.2 inch (0.5 cm) space between them.
The left and right margins are to be 0.7 inches (1.8 cm).
The top and the bottom margins are to be 1 inch (2.5 cm).
All the text must be single-spaced (double-spacing is not allowed !).
Warnings and hints:
- Setting the text processor to the paper format A4 will result in a file that cannot be used for the Conference Proceedings since some text will be cut off.
- If the printer is using A4 paper and you set the text processor is set to the US Letter format, usually printing is possible, but the margins are not like those specified above. This is not a problem since the final printing will be performed on the US Letter paper.
- The authors are invited to contact the Conference secretariat if they encounter any problem in printing their manuscripts in the US Letter format.
