VENUE AND TRANSPORTATION Ottawa is the capital of Canada and therefore the political hub of the nation. It is a beautifully maintained city at the junction of the Ottawa and Rideau rivers. Both within and outside of Ottawa there is much to see and do. Ottawa hosts up to 14 national museums, a beautiful canal, great historical buildings, and fine dinning. If you are an enthusiast of the outdoors Ottawa offers many walking paths along its rivers and parks. For more information on Canada's Capital visit Canada's Capital web site https://www.canadascapital.gc.ca and Ottawa's visitor's guide https://www.ottawa.ca/visitors/ At this time of the year Ottawa is hosting the world famous tulip festival ( https://www.tulipfestival.ca/ ). Millions of tulips create an exotic mosaic of colour and beauty along the 15 km Tulip Route. . . . BUT I WOULD LIKE ALSO TO VISIT SOME OTHER PLACES, NOT ONLY THE CONFERENCE ROOMS! Well, you are right! Ottawa is on the border of the Ontario-Quebec border 200 kms North-West of Montreal and 450 kms North-East of Toronto. It is only 100 kms directly North of the US border with state of New York. In between there are many quaint towns and plenty of outdoor scenery, camping, and fishing. It is best to consult the Provincial tourism web sites. For Ontario https://www.tourism.gov.on.ca, for Quebec https://www.bonjourquebec.com/.
