TRANSPORTATION

The Hotel Incanto**** is located in Ostuni, a medieval town, characterized by clean, whitewashed buildings, hanging cliffs and sandy beaches. Ostuni, the so called white city, is in a strategic place to visit the Puglia. It is possible in a day trip to visit all the other Puglia area, as  Valle d'Itria, Lecce, Taranto, Salento, Bari and the Gargano.

It is common knowledge that successful results are achieved when the conference takes place in the same hotel where the participants are accommodated. This gives participants opportunities outside the formal context of conference to further establish personal contacts for important scientific exchanges.

The choice of location has been based on a balance of considerations such as desirability of local features, both in terms of accessibility and beautiful setting, supporting infrastructure, cost and benefits. The organisers negotiated preferential room rates with the hotel. Moreover the Hotel Incanto will be glad to provide shuttle service from and to Brindisi Airport as well as pick up service to nearby beaches and the participants may take advantage of the conference special rates  for the following weekend.

That is why, for logistic reason it would be  particularly appreciated if participants could  stay in the same hotel so that organizers can easily arrange sightseeing tours, excursions around the city, special events and more.

Brindisi airport (approx. 40 km, 45 minutes by car); Bari airport (approx. 100km, 1 hour 10 minutes by car)

To Brindisi airport

Brindisi airport is the nearest airport to Ostuni (Daily flights connect Brindisi to the international airports of Rome (by Alitalia -www.alitalia.it) and Milan (by Alitalia -www.alitalia.it, by Air-One - www.air-one.it or MyAir - low cost company - www.myair.com).
Coming from the airport to Ostuni by taxi should cost about 60 €.

Free Shuttle service to/from the airport is available on request only for the participants accommodated at the Hotel Incanto


To Bari airport

Bari airport has daily flights to and from numerous destinations throughout Europe.

 ARRIVAL BY TRAIN
Closest station: Railway Station of Ostuni 4 miles about.  50 min. by train from Bari, on the line to Brindisi-Lecce. See: www.trenitalia.com


ARRIVAL BY CAR
From   airport:
Take the S.S. 379 (free motorway) towards Bari and drive for approx. 30 km. Exit at "Ostuni-Villanova" and then drive towards Ostuni. Once in Ostuni, you'll find road signs to Hotel Incanto.
From north:
If you are arriving from Naples (highway A16), take the junction with highway A14 (Bologna-Taranto) and drive towards Bari. Take SS379 (E55) Bari-Brindisi, towards Brindisi. Exit at "Ostuni-Villanova" and then drive towards Ostuni. Once in Ostuni, you'll find road signs to Hotel Incanto..
