Chapters
The IEEE is divided into ten geographic Regions worldwide. Within those Regions are 330 local Sections and more than 1,700 technical Chapters that unite local members with similar technical interests. Some of the Sections are also grouped together in regional Councils. Members of the IEEE automatically become members of their local IEEE Section, allowing them to share technical, professional and personal interests with others in IEEE's worldwide member community. The NPSS Chapter Policy document provides details on creation and support of Chapters.
