The TransNational Committee (TNC)
The TransNational Committee (TNC) has been
introduced at the end of 2000 in order to provide a framework for
continuous participation in the organizational decisions in the Nuclear and Plasma Science Society
(NPSS)
for the growing membership outside the USA and Canada. The chairperson
of the TNC is an elected voting member of the NPSS Administrative Committee
(AdCom) for the normal period of four years, and must be resident
outside the North American continent. With this construction, there is
always at least one non-North-American member on the AdCom. The TNC is

composed of appointed persons, that represent a wide spectrum of the
NPSS membership outside North America, both according to scientific
fields and nationalities. These persons in the TNC should be in contact
with the local IEEE-NPSS membership in their home countries, so that
they can provide via the chair an appropriate input into the decision
making of the IEEE NPSS AdCom.
