CEU Track at IPCC 2008

The IPCC 2008 program will include a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) track that will allow participants in this track to earn 1 CEU for attending 4 of the CEU-designated IPCC 2008 sessions that will take place on Tuesday, 15 July 2008. These sessions will run consecutively on that day from 9:00 am-10:30 am, 11:00 am-12:30 pm, 2:00 pm-3:30 pm, and 4:00 pm-5:30 pm.

 

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for this learning activity will be awarded by Texas Tech University – Outreach and Distance Education, and participants in this CEU track will receive an official certificate of CEU completion from Texas Tech University. Additionally, the Registrar’s Office at Texas Tech University will maintain a record of the awarding of this CEU should participants require an official transcript. In awarding such CEUs, Texas Tech University follows the Criteria for Accreditation established by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Continuing Education Unit Criteria and Guidelines established by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

 

To participate in this CEU track, individuals must both register to attend the conference (either as an “entire conference” registrant or a “one day” conference registrant), and also register to participate in the CEU track. (The cost for registering for this CEU track is an additional $20 above the related registration fee.) Individuals who register for the CEU track must then attend and sign in at 4 of the designated CEU-track sessions as identified in the IPCC 2008 program. 

 

Draft and final versions of the IPCC 2008 conference program will indicate which sessions are designated as CEU-track sessions; there will be an attendant with a CEU sign-in sheet at each of these sessions. Individuals who have registered for the CEU track will need to sign in with the attendant.

 

Interested individuals are encouraged to register for the CEU track at the same time they register for the conference, and the related registration receipt will list the total cost (registration fee + CEU track fee) as well as the individual costs of each item. 

 

 

Please note that all fees associated with IPCC 2008 registration and with registration in the CEU track at IPCC 2008 are in US Dollars (USD).
