Primary Conferences



PELS is a sponsor of several major international power electronics conferences each year.  The primary conferences for which PELS has major administrative responsibility include:

The International Telecommunications Energy Conference (INTELEC).  INTELEC'04 will be held in Chicago, September 19 - 23, 2004.

The IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC).  APEC'05 will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Austin Texas, March 6-10, 2005.  IAS and the Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) share sponsorship.

The IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference (PESC). PESC'05 will be held in Recife, Brazil, 12-18 June 2005. Major Joint Conferences

In addition, PELS has a lead sponsorship role in some other IEEE conferences:

The International Symposium on Diagnostics for Electric Machines, Power Electronics and Drives (SDEMPED).  SDEMPED'03 was held August 24-26, 2003 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.  PELS is the primary sponsor, and IAS is a technical co-sponsor.

The International Electric Machines and Drives Conference (IEMDC).  IEMDC'05 will be held in San Antonio, Texas, USA 15-18 May 2005.  PELS is a sponsor with three other IEEE societies:  IAS, PES, IES.

The IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems (PEDS). PEDS2005 will be held November 28 - December 1, 2005 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. PELS and IAS act as technical co-sponsors of this meeting.
